Morris Still In The Title Race For Aussies

09 January 2016

Morris scored a creditable 11-points from his 5 qualifying heats in Gillman on Friday night but missed out to Sam Masters in the 'last chance' heat for a place in the all important final race of the night.
Morris admits you really afford any slip-ups in such a close battle at the top of the leader board. He added: "You really need to get first and seconds in all of your heats and that will get you a place straight to the final.
"If you get stuck in traffic in these heats and run a third you are looking for favours from others and now going in to Mildura on Sunday I can't afford that.
"My aim is go there Sunday and ensure I finish in the top four at the end of the night and secure one of the four GP spots I want. Anything after that will be a bonus.
"Six points behind Brady at the top now is a tall order but I have confidence in my own ability and I know I can beat these guys so I certainly haven't given up hope yet."
Live coverage of the final round of the series is available on Sunday at or (8.30am UK time).
